Sharon Kotzur is a teacher, educator, leader, former principal and follower of Jesus Christ.
Sharon taught for 6 years as a Primary (Elementary) teacher and Curriculum Coordinator before becoming Deputy Principal for 5 years, and then Principal of a Lutheran Primary school at the age of 32.
Sharon spent the next 20 years in the job and, in addition, was heavily involved in supporting School Principals and leaders across Australia through her work with Lutheran Principals Australia (as Chair and executive member) and the Independent Schools Association of NSW, Australia.
One of her passions in the field is to equip and empower other leaders for the tasks ahead and help people save time and money in the process. She does not believe in ‘reinventing the wheel’ so to speak, but in sharing resources designed to help, empower and encourage others.
After 20 years of being in the job as Principal, Sharon decided to take some time off to replenish, reflect and recreate.
It was during this time that Sharon decided to record and share some of the lessons learned from her time in the job and record them in such a manner as to encourage others to use them and also save them valuable time in the process.
In addition to writing, Sharon is actively involved as a kids leader and musician in her local church and loves to read, play guitar, bike ride, create and has recently learnt to weld!!!
Sharon also loves to travel, spend time in the garden and dote on her fluffy white companion “Baxter” – a much loved Maltese Shih Tzu dog.
